UUCGT to Host Climate Change Discussion Group

If 2012 is to be remembered as the year climate change got real, let’s make 2013 the year we began to do something about it.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Grand Traverse (UUCGT) will host the Northwest Earth Institute’s* four part discussion group: Global Warming: Changing Co2urse beginning tomorrow, January 9th from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

The goals of this course are “to explore personal values and habits as they relate to climate change, to understand the history and science of global warming, and to empower individuals to take action to curb global warming.”

The classes will meet January 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th at UUCGT, 6726 Center Road, in Traverse City.  Call 947-3117 for more information.  I hope to see you there!

*The Northwest Earth Institute is a national non-profit organization that provides course materials on twelve topics related to sustainable living.  More than 130,000 people have participated in NWEI courses.  The small group discussions spark “the reflection and conversations that lead to change.” More than ninety percent of participants report that an NWEI course inspired them to make personal changes.

  1. Hi
I am enjoying reading of your work thought I cannot attend the events you are providing. Perhaps, in the summer. Kinda think I should modify that after all it will be summer. However, keep on keeping on we are doing our best to support your values here in the Southeast.
